Oh, I’m so terribly excited this morning.  Three marvelous ladies have offered to join my creative team.  Now that I’m designing kits I find myself most intrigued at how other creative people will use them.  And these ladies rock!  You should check out their blogs to see the wonderful work they do!!  First there’s Kathy at The Scrap Loft.  And Karen of Lighthouse Scrapping.  And KJ (don’t have her real name yet but if she wants to go by KJ that’s fine with me — I go by Hypermommy) of Kreative Junkie.  Y’all make sure to stop by and check out their blogs.  Thanks again, ladies, for volunteering your time and talents!!

I decided to get a WordPress blog because it’s more flexible for the kinds of things I want to do.  I figured this was probably the time to do it too, since not too many people knew about my blogspot blog.  Hope to see lots of you over here often!  With WordPress I should be able to host challenges (which I love and I hope others do to) and other fun things.

Seven Facts
1. I’m a computer programmer at my day job. You’d think that’d make me a more technical type of person but I’ve always been more of a creative programmer than a technical one. I love creating new things and the “I am invincible” feeling when I figure out how to make something work the way I think it should.

2. I’m a problem solver. I guess that’s why I’m successful at work despite not being very technical. Whatever the issue is, I can usually research it and find a solution of some sort. Of course, usually I think of a better solution three or four days after the first one has gone public

3. The first digital scrapbook I did was to memorialize a trip I gave my mom to Disney. She loved the book and I found that I loved digiscrapping. The best part is when it’s time for cleaning up… all I do is press the off button.

4. I have two wondeful sons and a marvelous husband. They’re quite patient of the way I sit in my chair at the dining room table for hours on end with my headphones on listening to Disney music and scrapping and designing.

5. I love Walt Disney World for more than just a theme park. I love the entire philosophy of Disney… how no matter how well you do you can always add just a bit more to make it better… how the most important thing is how you treat the people that come to visit you…. how you can start with $40 and a dream and create an entire empire if you have a vision and are willing to work hard enough…. how if you pay attention to the details the whole experience will come together seamlessly.

6. I’m the type of person that jumps in with both feet. Guess that’s pretty evident with this whole scrapbooking / designing thing. But if I enjoy something I find it difficult to do on a part-time basis. Which makes for really interesting days at work where I have to fight the urge to scrap.

7. I’m glad I’m at #7 because I just can’t think of anything else to say about myself that folks might be interested in.
